Moments that Matter in November | Sydney Family Photographer

We had a few things going on this month.  we had a whole week of chocolate breakfasts and Dante turned 1! We added cacao powder to our breakfast favourites which included chocolate porridge, chocolate banana smoothies and chocolate pancakes. It was delicious! This is something I was really happy to document as we enjoy cooking together but life gets so busy that sometimes I want to just get through the week cook the basics by myself and get on with my day. This year has gone so incredibly quick, I cannot believe my baby boy has turned 1.

To think I freaked out so much about adding another little human to our family but now I couldn't imagine life without him. Like he is the perfect little piece of the puzzle missing in our life. This year has flown by so fast and he has become the perfect little playmate to Abby. As she is a wonderful big sis to him.

So far he can crawl like a mad man, stand and cruise around. He says Mum, Dada, Beeee (Abby), No no, yuck, Bye and Hello. He loves to play peek a boo, clap hands and play chase games with Abby.

Love my little man and what joy he has brought to our lives

If you would like me to capture moments with your family

The Australian Museum | Documenting Childhood

Today I told Abby we were going on an adventure. Most kids would jump up with excitement but no. My child slumps her shoulders and mournfully addresses the fact she will miss school. Whatever. weirdo. Anyhow I continued on to tell her that we will be looking at dinosaurs, and huge beasts of the past along with lots of other cool stuff. Adding that we will be transporting it by train got her going. The real reason we were heading into the city and skipping school was I needed to be in there first thing to settle some paperwork for a meeting but since i hard to haul both kids with me I decided to make a day of it and organise a nice surprise for abby. Ive been feeling some Mummy guilt that I don't get to spend as much time with her. Having a new baby brother and starting school has left our Mummy Daughter time to Zilch.

the trip was really good, we spent about 20 minutes ruling up and down a corridor trying to figure out where a dinosaur roar was coming from. Abby declared it must be the real dinosaurs hiding. We were pleasantly surprised at how big Tasmanian Tigers were and equally grossed out by the spider displays. All the while a tired and fussy baby Dante slept against my chest. It was a great day and I highly recommend it as a must do with your kids.

Going Home

Newborn Photography Sydney

This session will truly hold dear to me forever because I have never heard of a story quite like this.

Katherine, thrilled to discover she was expecting with her second child.  However soon into her pregnancy, Katherine was devastated by the news that her unborn baby had a life threatening heart condition. Katherine blinked back tears as she spoke to me  about how she was told to prepare that her little baby growing inside her may not even make it through birth.

Against all odds, he made it. Unfortunately that was not the end of the battle. Katherine did not get to wrap her bundle of joy up and go home together just a day or two later. In fact, he never left the hospital. Little Baby James endured going to theatre fifteen times.

At seven months old he is finally going home. I had the honour of documenting James and his family before they were to leave for their home in Canberra. Katherine could barely contain the anxiety and anticipation of leaving their temporary accomodation across from Westmead Children's Hospital. A long time to be away from home  after seven long heartbreaking months. A joyous moment indeed. I wish you the best of luck and good health James xx

Introducing Dante | Newborn Photography Hills District

I would love to introduce our second child Dante! He came early at 38 weeks and everyone is just smitten. His big sister just wants hold him and cuddle him and I can tell will be a very protective big sister. Dante's entrance to the world was a little bit dramatic, I became quite anemic towards the end and delivery included a Litre of PPH. Despite all that he is such laid back little baby, we are home now and I'm am soaking it all in, so amazed to have our little newborn here with us. Wanting to appreciate every moment, every soft sigh, blonde hair and newborn scent.

Newborn Photography and Film | Introducing Braxton

Introducing little Braxton Jay Lago, born 16/10/2015 6.8 lbs. Braxton and his mumma had a really rough ride bringing him into the world. Very inspiring to see how truly strong women are and the right of passage motherhood is. Hayley and Daniel are first time parents and its clear that they will treat little Braxton with tender loving care. Congratulations to you both.

Documenting Childhood | Family Documentary Photographer

Every week we have ballet so thought I'd take the time to capture this weekly ritual. Abby will wake up and have breakfast of her choosing. This morning she decided Peanut butter by the spoonful was appropriate (she gets that from my husband not me I swear). I also decided to hand over my camera and let her take a few shots from her perspective, not bad either! Which was nice to be included in documenting this day as I normally am behind the camera in all our family photos.

After ballet we normally get lunch a coffee and a baby chino. In the middle of summer its Boost Juices, regardless. we treat ourselves. I am so glad to have taken the time to do this, while Ive been taking time to notice the little things about this day, Ive come to realise its so short lived.  Abby will be going to school and our little lunch dates will be few and far between. Something Ive been taking for granted.

Newborn Photography Hills District

I am so delighted at the fact that I was enabled the opportunity to capture this beautiful family. Photographing newborn twins was quite exciting but a lot of hard work!

Thank you so much Nicole for choosing me to photograph your family. It was such a pleasure to get to know you and more about your family, particularly the girls, they were so adorable. I am so very excited to show you your portraits.
